New Product Launch - immerSun Unit

There are some great additions including the immerSun Unit which diverts any excess energy produced by your PV system that would have normally gone back to the grid being diverted to your immersion heater and thus heating your hot water.

Is it 'Boom & Bust' for the PV market?

Over the last few months it has been hard not to have seen the changes in the Renewables market, PV in particular.  Last October the Government announced an urgent review of the tariffs (FITs), paid for electricity produced by solar panels.  A gold rush erupted in the PV sector, with the public and businesses racing to install PV before the 12th December cut off when the tariff was due to be halved.

What does the future hold for PV?

You may or may not have heard the recent news from the DECC about the proposal to reduce the subsidy for Solar PV systems by more than 50%. It was announced on the 19th November that the current feed in tariff would be reduced on all installs completed after the 12th December.

Shockwaves sent through the PV market

This month saw the current government make a drastic u-turn in its support for solar energy.  Days after Greg Barkers supporting  speech at the UK Solar conference in Birmingham the government announced it is to cut Feed In Tariffs by over 50%, but more controversially bring the cut off date forward to the 12th December.

Time to Invest?  Maybe a Necessity!

We are entering into an era where as a whole we all need to change the way we generate and use energy.  We have all seen the prices spiralling out of control on garage forecourts due to oil shortages and problems in the Middle East; and pictures of the terrible fallout from damaged nuclear power stations in Japan.  All these problems are only going to send our fuel and energy prices soaring.  Many of us are feeling the pinch both at home and our businesses, but this doesn’t have to be the case.

Shine a light on me

Although a relatively young man, Simon Dudson is already something of a veteran - at least in UK terms.  Most people living in Britain associate solar panels as high-tech devices that are only suitable to hot sunny climates like, for example, those enjoyed by the residents of Spain or Greece.
